    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I just loaded my presto card to Google Pay, so I think it's all fully functional. You can do it through the Presto app.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

I throw my vote in for Junction Station. Bloor and Dundas West is a bit of weird spot right in between a bunch of neighbourhoods. As a lifelong resident in the West Bend area, I typically refer to and hear the area referred to as either the Junction or High Park. I know the Junction...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I really hope they go with Junction Station for Dundas West, or Bloor Junction or something and rename Bloor GO as well so they match (especially since they'll be connected). I always thought that made sense even before this whole Dundas renaming initiative. For Dundas Station downtown, I hope...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

In the Netherlands, in pedestrian zones, it's typical to allow deliveries in the morning, usually before 11, which is a bit more reasonable than overnight. works well, and if anything makes it easier for deliveries, as larger trucks have more space to stop, and don't have to compete with other...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The west side will be getting a sidewalk, and the east side will get a wider multi-use path for cyclists.

FastLane: Gil Penalosa’s transit platform for Toronto

I like the idea of a BRT-centric plan, considering all the already funded/under construction rail plans. I don't think we should cancel any plans already underway though (i.e. Gardiner). I think really every arterial street not in Central/downtown Toronto should have BRT. I'd love a plan that...

    Bloor Street West Bike Lanes

The bike lane is complete in the Indian Grove area, it's only the Dundas West to Symington stretch that isn't complete. I thought I heard here somewhere that that stretch wouldn't be done until mid to late 2021 or something.

    Toronto Bike Share

The docking and undocking is not a deal-breaker, and I do frequently take out the same bike immediately after docking, there's no 5-minute wait like there used to be (at least when using the app). It's really more just the inconvenience and extra trip time added, which seems more unnecessary...

    Toronto Bike Share

Love the expansion, but the existing 30 min limit/$4 overage sucks. I really wish they either upped the time to 45 min, or cut the overage fee for the first extra 30 min to $1.50 like before (and still done in Montreal). I find so many of my trips end up just over the limit, and docking then...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Agreed, they are really nice. If only the other side wasn't a narrow unprotected bike lane, there's quite the contrast. I'm waiting for the day when parking is fully removed on that stretch, and the westbound bike lanes can be widened and protected.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I don't think there are any stations confirmed yet. In terms of a shapefile, it's basically just a line on Dundas Street from border to border, so would be easy to draw in ArcGIS or Google MyMaps. The Dundas Connects study (link) would have the most current info, but really you have to wait for...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

That would be nice for a quick fix, and could probably be done in many places, but there are some considerations. You generally need a 0.3 m double line buffer for the flex posts to sit in, and the bike lane itself needs to be at least around 1.6 m for small snowplows and street sweepers...

    Fare evasion on the TTC...

I've suggested it before, but I feel like an easy partial solution to this is have the readers loudly say "Child" and display the words "Child" on the reader when a child card is tapped. Not going to fully solve the problem, but the shame of immediately being outed as a fare evader and getting...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Random mostly-insignificant nitpick, but I always wished the TTC started their vehicle numbers with 1, so the first vehicle of the 4400-series of streetcars would be 4401. Seems more logical to me. I think it's alright to convert the old vehicles to pantograph-use. Sure not the most authentic...

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

It would be nice if they could paint the pavement, like the bridge in Brampton (https://www.google.com/search?q=franceschini+bridge), and put planters or benches or things along it to make it not so sterile. Otherwise it's probably a lot more comfortable than walking on a thin sidewalk at the...

    Bloor Street West Bike Lanes

That would be great. In addition to cycling, I also drive on Parkside Drive frequently, and I think it would work better with one lane in each direction, plus centre-turn lanes. When going southbound, the inner lane is always blocked by turning cars, meaning there's a lot of weaving between the...

    2018 Provincial Election Transit Promises

I love how clean and elegant the European transit designs are. I can only imagine the mess of signs, signals and markings there would be if that same location was built to North American standards.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

In other places if you pay a cash fare on a bus/tram, you get a RFID ticket (ie the Presto Tickets). They should have that on buses, so as to keep the system consistent. Your fare will always be a Presto card (including future credit card/app) or Presto ticket, which you must have with you when...
