    Toronto 2020 Olympic Bid

I think this is because when you think about a country that can actually handle an olympic campaign without having to build all new facilities (china), where the infrastructure is already in place. of course it makes more sense to have the games there i.e US. I would obviously like the games to...

    Toronto/Montreal comparisons (ain't pretty...)

hmmmmmm but the point is they speak english, they act as if they never learned anything about the language they could realistically help tourists out. Tourism in quebec i'm sure ranks high among in provinces GDP.

What about a free license plate? cop stops you cause you're weaving in and out of lanes.. The cop would then just check the plate and you wouldn't have to give any information..

misterF i agree with you.. Civics and small cars are still everywhere.. big pickups may be the top selling "new" vehicle.. but we have to remember that most cars on the road are about 5-20 years old not many people can afford a brand new car/truck these days. Used cars still own the road!

do you not agree that a building this size must be more energy efficient then lets say.. a building half its size? The Telus tower near the ACC has one of the highest LEED rankings. The amount of rain water thats used in the system is ridiculous! not to mention the 5 gardens that water...

    Toronto/Montreal comparisons (ain't pretty...)

If your lost in montreal it can be very confusing fortunately its almost as densely populated as toronto.. unfortunately many french canadians don't wish to help english speaking canadians. A lot of the time when you ask for directions you get a cut of the mill response in a french accent of...

    Slower subway service?

Railroads are not as reliable as roads. Roads are maintained in the spring and when unmaintained can still be driven on for 50 years. However, railroads need constant attention. Every link of rail must be inspected on a regular basis, electrical connections must be checked, cracks in cement...

What I don't understand is that by creating a bike lane and not putting any barriers is just the same as there being no bike lane at all... How about a 3ft curb to stop cars from running over bikers? just a standard cement wall about 1 ft thick.

How tall is this building going to be and how green? (energy efficient)
