    Metrolinx: Other Items (catch all)

I had used the GO first then the TTC after in April and the TTC transfer was valid till 3 hours AFTER the initial GO tap. I might have a photo somewhere if you want.

    Metrolinx: Other Items (catch all)

Not sure if this belongs in the presto thread but tried taking the TTC, THEN GO THEN TTC again within about 30 mins, and it seems the TTC transfer didn't extend to 3 hours like I believe it did in the past. Going to try taking the ttc again AFTER the first transfer expires and seeing if the...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Every time I drive along finch I see contractors at the stations or paid duty police closing parts of the intersection

    Metrolinx: Other Items (catch all)

Google didn't have as good fare info, and couldn't really tie in assets like park and ride. I found triplinx had more "creative" route options if you wanted

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I'm going to sound like an Idiot but twice now I've boarded a bus for "Broadview" and it actually just dropped me off at bridgeport health instead of Broadview station.

    Transit Ridership Statistics & Tracking

Aside from this april press release does anyone have more up to date numbers on onefare usage? https://www.metrolinx.com/en/news/ontario-s-one-fare-program-hits-5-million-transfers

    Pickering Airport (Transport Canada/GTAA, Proposed)

How many stops will HSR have? The whole point is to have a limited number of stops, so unless you live close to one you'd be better off just driving to the Pickering airport. What's the harm in just not opening it? Though it is nice to have context.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Not entirely related but I asked why the scrapped the super express from Aldershot to long branch and this is what I heard back. kind of vague considering I think the trains still deadhead back (though I could be wrong!)

TTC: Scarborough Busway Construction (portion of the former Scarborough RT route)

How much are we betting things will open on time? Also, if they go through with the plan for block signaling (then tearing it out for ATC AFTER the line opens) The busway might still get a decent amount of use later on

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

Yes there are bike lanes east west and north south a block over. I honestly think 95% of it is comfort. Same reason the majority of dwellings have AC even though you only "need" heat. And yes, I laugh with the receipt checkers whenever I buy a single thing at Costco. I feel like people are...

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

I don't think the number is zero! Just that it's not going to be a substantial amount, even in places like east york where density is a lot higher I'll often bike to a Plaza and only my bike is on the rack. This will probably sound stupid but how hard was the process? Afaik the police rarely...

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

One of my examples was to look at the people in the suburbs and where they are driving most of the time that isn’t work? Groceries, theatres, the mall? I don’t see a single person at Costco switching to a bike trip even if there was a lane from their house to the store!

TTC: Scarborough Busway Construction (portion of the former Scarborough RT route)

This is a pretty frequent schedule imo? From Kipling And Rexdale blvd

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

I don't think anything is universally true. I support the vast majority of the bike lanes and I think Fords overreach is appalling! On the flipside I don't think the moves the city has made have been totally logical. I think the first step should have been protecting existing unprotected bike...

General cycling issues (Is Toronto bike friendly?)

TBF it's funny everyone is acting as if this is the only time a decision where deaths are a trade off is made. The $200 rebate checks could go to healthcare and save lives, closing YTZ which so many people are in favor of would lead to lives lost (by disconnecting the downtown hospitals from...

TTC: Scarborough Busway Construction (portion of the former Scarborough RT route)

The 45 runs at a minimum of 10 mins (often much more frequent) except for the wee hours

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Look at the Liberals pick? I don't believe in the "downtown elites" Narrative but Crombie is basically the spitting image of that. How does everyone think the Fords and all the other incredibly scummy councilors stay in power? They know the people who elected them don't think of 20 year plans...

    Pickering Airport (Transport Canada/GTAA, Proposed)

It's not so much that it can't handle current traffic (though Nav is having serious staffing issues, to the point YTZ's tower is occasionally unstaffed) It seems dumb to basically keep putting all our eggs in one basket.

    Pickering Airport (Transport Canada/GTAA, Proposed)

The Feds already own the land for Pickering so no expropriation needed!
