    Vaughan Cortellucci Square | ?m | ?s | City of Vaughan

I say the "urban node" at the west end of the park needs something monumental like a fountain or a statue to be centered around instead of the trees shown. This plan is probably still relatively broad strokes but I hope that's an option that's being considered.

Request to rename the project "The Dead Kennedys"?

I'm with i42 on this one, I dig the ultra modernist podium and the clean boldness of the tower. It's not as overwhelming in person as it appears in some pictures. Also, building next to 365 is the architectural equivalent of hiring a hideously ugly person to walk around with you everywhere so...

So how does a building with that amount of curtain wall, not that I'm complaining about its presence, jive with the new 40% max vision glass requirement in the province?

If I'm understanding the scope of the parcel correctly that's another big chunk of land and an opportunity for a cool project to bookend and play off of The Well. Interesting news!

Parkside Village Block Nine (MCC, Amacon, 35+24+7s+Towns, Richmond Architects)

I agree it's terrible urbanism, but who would want a front yard and driveway off of what is essentially a 6 lane highway? I don't think Mississauga will ever be able to achieve the urban experience older cities that weren't expressly designed for cars can provide.

Are they digging for both towers at the same time? Looks that way.

    Toronto 305-319 King West | 156.96m | 50s | Claireville Holdings Ltd | Scott Shields

Looks like a stubby Taipei 101. I really wish we were seeing more variation in heights and densities in this area (and I don't necessarily mean more height and density). It's beginning to look like a weird plateau.

With white or treated balcony glass this could contrast nicely with the other towers in the area. Doesn't look like white or treated balcony glass in that render though..

    Toronto Albion District Library | ?m | 1s | TPL | Perkins + Will

Wow, if the Albion design is indeed a coincidence it certainly is a striking one. The two renderings in the article look like two iterations of the same plan. Regardless, it's a beautiful building and it really does a lot to liven up this ugly stretch of road. Perhaps with the coming of the LRT...

If you're riding the 29 you'd better have an iron grip on that handrail or you're going for a series of brief unplanned flights.

Toronto Ryerson: Jarvis Street Residence | 97.53m | 30s | Toronto Metropolitan University | Arcadis

In case anyone`s actually curious, the street is in fact named after Samuel Jarvis, the last guy in Toronto to legally kill someone in a duel, and the street was created from part of a lot Jarvis was forced to hand over to the government as repayment for stealing and embezzling money. Sounds...

I wonder if the entire roll of duct tape keeping that window together will become a permanent feature like the L tower's crane :p
