Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

For the Dufferin option, they can probably do something similar to the Lakeshore East corridor. Starting from Exhibition: Dufferin/Queen Brockton (Dufferin/Dundas) Dundas West (<> line 2) "Junction" (Dundas/Dupont) Stockyard (replaces planned station on Kitchener line) Mount Dennis (<> line 5)...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Their asses are still in tact. The other unions were afraid the same of what happened with education support workers will happen to them. Endorsement was given based on the PCs "pro-construction" stance.

Nice to see a non-residential "tower" getting built in NYCC.

    Toronto Ontario Line: Osgoode Station | ?m | 1s | Metrolinx | HDR

That still means the pavilion will be built "on or around the premises of Osgoode Hall". Bascially, the NE corner is a no-go to them.

    Toronto Therme Spa/West Island at Ontario Place | 45.15m | 9s | Therme Group | Diamond Schmitt

The trees shown in the renders just need to mature. It may not be a tree canopy, but that's probably the best one can do at a location that's by the lakefront exposed to wind.

Bradford Bypass (MTO, Hwy 400 - Hwy 404)

    Not sure why, but I feel like 440 is a good choice. I don't think there's actual logic in it though. 400 <-> 440 <-> 404

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I made the assumption that their current train stock might pose more challenges (weight, size, gradient limits) if they do decide to go elevated - compared to the trains they seem to be proposing for OL.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

You can say OL is a product of that narrative of doing things "more efficiently, more affordably, and faster". I doubt the cost/km for the original RL plan is lower than OL (adjusted for inflation and various other factors). Besides, how will they extend it north from Eglinton with current TTC...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Probably money. That will sacrifice coverage in exchange for capacity. Depends on your vision of the region's rapid transit network, that may or may not be a good thing.

Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension Airport Segment

It really should be 70, then 50 at the ramp split, 30 approaching the terminals, then 20 at the terminal. Now if they can just find a better way to get rid of the idiots who wait at the shoulders - which might also be the reason they have the speed lowered to 50.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I guess it depends on your definition of downtown, if it's Bloor-Parliament-Lake Shore-Bathurst, then I'm afraid the sad reality is that this might be last one we'll see in a while. With this extension people within that area will have at most a 15min walk away from a subway/train station; while...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

A bridge might be better. Highway 27 slopes down south of Humber College Blvd. Then there's also a security issue with tunnels in area with less foot traffic during night time.

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

They can run peak hours services from Bloomington down to the Finch hydro corridor station, or even Oriole, if they can find ways/room to make it work; or make that a peak hours branch of OL.

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

I think bypassing line 1 alone, might entice people to switch to OL even if it adds 5-10 min more to their commute. That's just a guesstimate - Leslie to Queen via line 4 and 1 is 15 stations, 13 stations via OL, assuming stations are built only at York Mills and Lawrence. The train should...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Out of curiosity, who would be on a non-partisan planning authority? Do they get appointed? Who are they accounted to?

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

I brought up the ROW because of Yonge North extension plan of using an existing rail ROW - and that section's not even owned by Metrolinx. I also think an extension of line 4 is likely, so I don't see the need to be fixated on an artifically created terminus as the hub. There is developable...

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

They only need to elevate it to just north of Lawrence. Then the line can be done with very low budget using the rail ROW Metrolinx owns (Don Mills-Lawrence > Lesmill > Leslie > Finch East > along hydro corridor? Seneca). It's not the most ideal route for everyone because Don Mills will not be...

    Finch West LRT East Extension

However, for a number of reasons, to avoid a traffic nightmare, line 4 will have to be completed first before work on line 6 can begin.

    Toronto Burbank Heights | 110.65m | 32s | Sky Property Group | Kirkor

3 storey is a bit of an exaggeration. Some of the SFHs are already 3 storeys. Have you read the sun/shadow report? Looks like changing the building to 15 storey may just solve most of the shadow issue. If it's on the south side of Sheppard, then 20 storey is perfect height, perhaps even 25.

    Toronto Park Lawn GO Station | 12.83m | 2s | First Capital | Hatch

They might just merge both into A. The fact they are assigned A and G, and not A and B seems to suggest that to happen eventually.
