Yes, the vertical variety is quite nice.

    Vaughan Expo City: Expo 1,2, & Nord | ?m | 38s | Cortel Group | AJT Architects

Yes, the bones are falling into place. The YRT stop is huge, and the subway terminal is almost ready.

    Toronto Hotel X (was Hotel in the Garden) | ?m | 27s | Exhibition Place | NORR

I was hoping this is going to be bland and forgettable, but it's just terrible. The base section with all the concrete walls beg the question...what's in there? which makes it difficult to ignore. And the tower itself is a mess.

Interesting vantage point from someone on IG.

I think it could've used a few more floors before it started stepping back at the top, and also a few floors between setbacks. But that would've made the tower at least 20-30 floors taller, and that's just not practical. At least not until we have new magnetic lift systems, that don't need...

It'd be interesting if the wall is painted with a trompe d'eloi as if the view is open facing East.

I wonder what sign or lighting they are going to be putting up at the corner of the podium level.

While I appreciate the solid coloured surfaces for exterior interest, I'd definitely prefer clear balcony glass as a tenant. Maybe someday we can have an opaque material from outside, while it's clear from inside....

^ Yes, that makes more sense. Clever.

It's like a giant human rights / equality flag.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

I think the contrast between white balconies and the grey north-face should be quite interesting.

The L is still the more interesting looking building on the skyline. I'm sure they'll iron out the issues eventually.

    Looks Great, this one.

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

Good substitute for the open backdrop looking west on Queen st. I like the bridge, but while stuck at a red light last week, I thought the open view was quite nice as well. I never saw it until the bridge came down.

If the building contains non-flammable materials, I don't think fire can travel across.

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

I think they're shoring the platform pile for the rigging build.

    Toronto Berczy Park Revitalization | ?m | ?s

The reopening party on June 28 sounds like a great time to point this out to everyone. Maybe we should gather up as many utility markings from all new projects and put them in one place or a big article.

I don't understand why they need to mark the utility lines if there's no work planned.... Presumably, they're not planning to rip up whatever was just installed there...right?
