Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Decentralization initiate in the 80s/90s were on track until amalgamation derailed the efforts and refocused developments downtown. Hense why we have what currently is NYCC and STC. If the efforts were continued and the Sheppard line was completed to the STC and Sheppard West, our landscape...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

the population and employment in downtown is higher because planning and city building in Toronto has failed to attract businesses and people out side of the core over the past decade. Continuing to focus infrastructure developments downtown while neglecting the suburbs will continue to make...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

when they launch the permanent version of this. Following will help 1. change the colour of the road so that driver can easily tell a difference. the fading yellow stripes are not easy to see when you need to pay attention to other cars, pedestrians, bikes, streetcars, read the 36 signs at each...

A system in North York will almost be in its own zone north of the 401 in between Yonge and Don Mills and along Sheppard.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

mostly likely won't be. I can't see the conservative government funding a subway in DT Toronto until they have built the Sheppard Line which spans across 4 newly elected PC ridings. with the city council remap, the proportional support behind the DRL south have also decreased immensely. I...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

The council votes along the Sheppard East subway had just increased from 10% of total to 20% of total. Get 13 more ford allies from Scar and Etob and we're set for business on this one.

    2018 Provincial Election Transit Promises

But what most DT NDP ridings don't realize is that the suburbs of Toronto are extremely happy with these changes. With an over whelming number of councillors concentrated in the core, the suburbs were not getting any attention. This makes it better for anyone who lives north of Lawrence. So no...

    Toronto Parkside Square | 142.94m | 43s | Tribute | Turner Fleischer

Phase 1 rental building a few floors from topping out. As spandrel boxes go, this thing isn’t too bad.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

They are delivering steetcars that are perfectly functional. And they are standing behind the issues that their products may have. Not sure where the line is. It it is certainly not drawn when a company is delivering the products. Imagine if your boss fired you on the 3rd day because you...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

the only mess is that the TTC will need to pay significantly more on streetcar orders going forward. After the fiasco, Bombardier would nvr bid a price as allow as they had, and the next lowest price during the bid process was 40% more. As much as we’d like to complain, I don’t think the TTC...

Dump truck free time on DVP and QEW?

A overly long contraction cycle isn’t a first world issue. Many developing countries can build much faster than we do. Once again, trained labour would be less of an issue if we restrict the max number of projects that can be under construction at a time. Beijing can build a subway line in 4...

Dump truck free time on DVP and QEW?

The issue here is we allow construction companies to take too long to build. Building permits in the city should accompany a min number of crew on site at all time. And we should implement a maximum construction period before companies need to face fines. Also construction hours should fill...

Dump truck free time on DVP and QEW?

Agree. Rush hour roads should be truck free. Many other countries implement this.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

The idea isn't to serve North York or Scarb. It is to serve the second largest employment and office zoned area in Toronto. The idea that infrastructure should be built to serve meaningless expired city boundries that no longer exists is that exact thing that's preventing us from building...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

shouldn't the issue be we're reducing the speed of streetcars to that of bicycles?

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Funding will be limited here are what I think is going to happen GO RER - fund and construct ASAP as it serves conservative ridings Line 2 Extension - continue on current place with more stations. Debates will stop, but it won’t speed up either. Sheppard - Ford won all the ridings along the...

    Toronto Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman Architects

this building is going to be fine. The entire area consists of European style large building blocks that are either massive in them selves, or connected to each other to create massive blocks. I feel this building will fit in fairly well into the area.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

sad but it’s true. A PC win means DRL and Shappard gets delayed for go train upgrades and Yonge North. NDP win means Go Trains, Sheppard, and Yonge North gets delayed for DRL and waterfront LRT.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

IMHO, relief line should go with alignment 5 to connect with the Sheppard line at Victoria Park to close the loop. Everything eastbound of Victoria Park can be built using a Viva style BRT with signal priority. No need to spend all the money for an LRT.
