    Toronto 4174 Dundas West | 50.8m | 14s | Dunpar Homes | Turner Fleischer

Still unsure why the city is so against height here. Kingsway by the River (just west of this site) is almost 80m tall, and looks to be even taller given that it's at the top of a hill. Again, can't stand Dunpar, but that aside, this location is perfect for 80m-100m buildings, the "amenities"...

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Yeah, that video is ridiculous. He keeps referring to the idea of an outdoor mall in "Canada" as a bad idea, yet Toronto is further south than I think it's 27 of the 50 states? Because Toronto happens to be in a country with Nunavut or Edmonton, lumps the city in to make the idea of an...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Are only the two termini of this line's stops referred to as stations? The rest are "Stops"? I'm a little confused as to why "stops" are going to appear on the TTC Rapid Transit maps as the map otherwise only has transit "stations" on it - with the exception of the Pearson Airport "Stop"...

    Oakville North Oakville Elementary #3 | 14.09m | 3s | HDSB | Hossack & Associates Architect

Are three storey elementary schools very common in Ontario in the last 40-50 years? I can't recall many of them in the GTA suburbs (other than very old schools that were built pre 1970s)

    Toronto Pinnacle Etobicoke | 137.76m | 43s | Pinnacle | Turner Fleischer

Does McDonalds have a plan to open somewhere else in the area? Just noticed that it closed, guess it's been closed for a while now?

    New University...where should it go?

This sounds a little like that American rhetoric we hear so often. In Canada, University/college tuition isn't as extreme as it is in America. There's nobody going into 6-7 figure debt from a gender-studies degree. Let people study the things that are of interest to them? And, on the other...

    Toronto Cloverdale Mall Redevelopment | 156.9m | 48s | QuadReal | Giannone Petricone

Cloverdale is unique in that it has a good mix of national retailers but also many independent/local small businesses running out of the mall - I hope they get to stay, too. Not just the big brand names.

    How to solve homeless issue?

I ask this question seriously, but why would someone stop if the alternative (working.. getting a job minimum wage job) would not afford them any place to live in Toronto/Vancouver? You are no further ahead if you devote 40 hours of your life (or more) working.. so why do it?

    Roads: Traffic Signals

Speaking of Brampton.. can we get lights (or a roundabout) at Countryside and HeartLake? Literally takes 15 minutes to turn left here.

    Toronto 598 The Queensway | 15.24m | 4s | Queensvalley Properties | GG

Again, some of Etobicoke's biggest institutions (read money makers) are at grade retail one block west of there - so I wouldn't say "that's it".

    Toronto 598 The Queensway | 15.24m | 4s | Queensvalley Properties | GG

This is precisely where retail should be required. You have Toms Dairy Freeze and Mamma Martino's just a block away, which bring large walk-up crowds, extending that is important. Would be nice to have ground level retail from Park Lawn to help make The Queensway the avenue it is meant to be.

    Toronto Thirty Six Zorra Condominiums | 113.68m | 35s | Altree | Graziani + Corazza

The podium is yuck, but the tower looks great.

    Mississauga Elm Public School | ?m | 2s | PDSB | Moffet & Duncan Architects Inc

There are schools in Brampton over 150%+ utilization. You don't understand school cycle planning. Most schools these days are built to require anywhere from 6-8 portables in their prime, because they only ever need this "maximum" for a few years of their lifespan, communities age and grow up...

    Mississauga The Southlands | ?m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | a—A

It should not dip down to Sherway. Let's build subways on grids or at least along streets that exists. This trend in Toronto of building subway lines like suburban style curved streets really needs to stop.

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

I'm not so sure. The natural resources in the North could sustain that region for hundreds of years. They could force these mining giants to process in their own area (like Quebec does) instead of shipping out of province, they could also put hefty taxes on extractions, to sustain the area...

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

Why would the province/Ottawa subsidize us any further? My parents who live in a small town in Northern Ontario pay extremely high taxes (8-10k) for a house that's probably worth 250k.Why should they have to contribute/subsidize wealthy Torontonians where the average cost of a house is over 1...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The Dufferin busses to the CNE were quite packed, huge crowds, and a very unpleasant ride (nothing to grab onto because of how packed the bus was). I would drive or uber next time.

    Brampton Transit/Zum

At this point Brampton should just annex the southern part of Caledon which is just a continuation of Brampton, and nothing like the villages of Bolton, Palgrave or Caledon East.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

PDSB's school utilization (% usage) in their Mississauga schools is very low compared to Brampton schools, which has over 100% utilization in most schools. Take a look at PDSB's Annual Planning Document from 2022/2023. Perhaps the PDSB will disband after the Peel Region split and Mississauga...

    Mayor Olivia Chow's Toronto

I think saying that he sticks out like a sore thumb on that list, my perception is that was implying he wouldn't agree with them (or be in favour of public transit), and a few of the other posts that I got that perception from. As much as I dislike him and his positions on bike lanes, planning...
