    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I sure hope so. It would be nice for the 125 Drewry and 42 Cummer buses to go to Cummer station instead of Finch station. Saves some time and there is a lot of condo development going on in that immediate area right now as well.

Still hoping that they will add orange to line 5 trains. Line 6 has the line colour grey and there is already a stripe of grey on those trains, although this is likely unintentional.

I don't mind any extra photos being posted, even without context. I just like looking at trains.

536 is in reference to the 36 bus that currently services the corridor.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

If they did something with their bus network frequencies that feed into the subway then it could be fine. I don't think any city outside of Toronto should get more than a couple stations going to their largest population centre. Those cities can boost their transit and run feeder systems into...

Pioneer village north entrance is north of Steeles Ave, which is technically Vaughan.

Tokyo's subway system is a perfect example of a system that use two or more track gauges throughout the system. Some lines use narrow gauge (1'067mm) while other lines use standard gauge (1'435mm). The toei Shinjuku line even uses a 1'372 mm track gauge. Different lines also have different...

I honestly think this third rail vs catenary debate has gone overboard. There are small advantages and disadvantages to both of these systems. Interestingly enough the trainset that will be used runs on 1500v overhead on Rome line C and will run at 750v third rail on the upcoming Honolulu metro...

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Only two TTC bus routes will move (without the additional of Cummer station). 53 and 60, as well as 953 and 960, will go to Steeles station. 36, 39, 42, 97, 125 and 939 should still go to finch station. I guess that is still a good 30% - 40% decrease in buses however. Maybe they can renovate and...

It would be nice to get washrooms at each station.

You wouldn't even be able to do this with third rail. Quite dangerous to have easy access to tracks and crossing with third rails (even if crossings don't have third rail). That's another major benefit ro catenary. Although I guess Ontario line is fully grade seperated so it doesn't really...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

There are some hilly sections on Yonge Street north of Steeles Ave. Not sure if this is a factor that would affect placing elevated guideways. First dip | Second dip It appears steeper when driving north of Steeles Ave than google maps would indicate.

Pretty good video showing what service will look like.

It's nice to see that they are using tiles or some sort of wall design material. The TYSSE stations which only have bare concrete already look quite disgusting with cracks and water marks showing.

I feel like they could eventually add a branch to the Ontario line and have it continue along Queen West. A lot of other places do branch lines so I could see it happening in this case as well.

Arcadia reminds me of when I went to see teamlabs borderless in Tokyo, Japan. I would imagine that after the popularity wears down for the locals, it will still be a popular attraction for tourists. There is also the option of redeveloping the exhibit over and over again after every few years to...

Bradford Bypass (MTO, Hwy 400 - Hwy 404)

Generally, east-west 400 series highways are assigned odd numbers, while north-south highways are assigned even numbers. The bradford bypass will likely be assigned an odd number.

Technically, it is 4 interchange stations, but only 3 of them are downtown.

Does anyone know what the planned frequency is going to be during peak and off-peak service?
