No because again, the EELRT would be in place by then. Even if wasn't, the density of the area doesn't justify the pricetag of a subway.

There's not enough density or ridership demand to bring the Sheppard line all the way to Malvern TC.

The rough plan is to go to McCowan to meet up with the line 2 extension. Some ppl want it to go to STC. Anything further east wouldn't make sense probably in our lifetimes. The proposed EELRT would suffice continuing along Sheppard.

I don't believe it would make all that much sense. The EELRT should suffice the one stop between Markham & McCowan. The Xtra cost of the subway doesn't make sense

So the city is allowing ppl to build houses on their own properties now, in certain locations like laneways? What's a garden house?

Really I only brought it up cuz of reducing the loads on the Yonge which this project is for. I thought that would be greater achieved by going to Don Mills. But I'm first to admit I'm no expert

Still don't understand why they didn't bring this line to Don Mills station at Sheppard. It's 3 more stations all above ground. Bringing it north after that would have been phase 2.

So eventually all those empty spaces will be more condos? & What rail line is that in the photos & why can't the city use it for transit? *Not the Eglinton crosstown

So did they decide to make Morningside & Kingston an underground station or above ground?

The moment this line gets extended, 1000s condos along the line will be built & ridership will increase. Expanding transit should be about capturing new riders, connecting areas/lines all things this line would do...

I still don't see the huge benefit when we're gonna have a station at McCown n Sheppard with line 2 -bypassing there limits the crosstown possiblity of the Sheppard line

What part is Acciona supposed to do on the Ontario line? What makes them skeptical to you?

For some reason I have faith in the Ontario line and ECWE being done on time. If you go back far enough, I was optimistic this would be done last year and definitely this year, but right now I don't have a clue as to when the crosstown will actually open
