    Random Interior Design Questions

Hmmm a random interior design question...how easy is it to install and remove wall paper these days? I heard they came a long way? Was thinking of doing an accent wall eventually.

    Random Interior Design Questions

KA1, I went with a natural maple floor, which looks really similar to the pic a poster put on the first page of this thread. I love it, especially facing south the room just lights up (I love sunlight). That may be more of a factor that I'm facing south, but I'm really happy with it. As for...

    Apartment position/floor

Yeah, favour the south/west and away from the garbage disposal. I can't imagine facing North. Wouldn't want to be too high or low.

Here's an odd question...re: running towards the CN Tower

Say I'm running from Bloor West to the CN Tower. It would take me a while. So if I need washroom breaks in between, where are some public washrooms located? LOL I realize how ridiculous this sounds, but its a fact of nature when you're consuming a lot of water. Suggetions are appreciated. Is...

Why does every condo newspaper ad have a photo of a woman having an orgasm?

Can we change this thread into discussing the hottest chicks in condo ads? My vote goes for the girl in Treviso ads. She looks like a younger, taller, hotter Madonna back in the day.

    Bookshelves for Small Spaces?

Colt, I just googled that, and its actually geared towards DVDs. A lot of books exceed the dimensions of a typical dvd case. But I do like the concept of it.

    Bookshelves for Small Spaces?

Thanks for the DIY suggestions folks, but besides using allen keys on occasion I'm useless when it comes to handy-work. I went by Umbra today and wasn't really impressed with their solutions. neuhaus, I saw that product today, and I'm not into fixing something into the wall because of the lack...

    Bookshelves for Small Spaces?

Hey folks, Sorry for all the questions about furniture in small spaces, but I'm sure it benefits more people than just me! Plus your suggestions make me think of solutions I wasn't aware of. So my question is about bookshelves for small spaces. For those that have a collection of books...

    Toronto First Canadian Place Rejuvenation | 298.08m | 72s | Brookfield | MdeAS Architects

If Toronto was building a new building that looked like this, I would be impressed. I'm really impressed that a renovation or recladding could give such a new energy and feeling to an older building. The corners really sell this to me.

    Sectionals/Sofas

Thanks for looking out JayBee. For those with experience with the Jane bi-sectional, can anyone tell me about the durability with the buttons? Do they get loose? If they came off, how easy is it to remedy. It's the only thing I'm really hesistant about.

    Sectionals/Sofas

Hmm, an update, apparently Gus* now has the Jane Bi-sectional (which earlier posters were raving about) in condo/loft sizes now(W82"xD65"xH30" as opposed to the original W103"XD72"XH30"). Gotta find out the pricing (I'm looking at the flyer, Winter-Spring 2010). Too bad all the swatches are...

Where would you place a 'L-shaped' sofa?

Thanks for this thread, because I'm going through the exact same thing! My plan is to do the red because, as mentioned it defines the space. Also prevents interference with the sliding doors. Also the part of the "L" that sticks out(vertical) on my sofa will be a chaise lounge chair. So if I...

    Beds for Condos?

Thanks for the insight everyone, really appreciate it. So i guess my further question is if you had a budget of just under 2k, knowing what you know, what bed would you get(and from where)

    Beds for Condos?

Hey folks, I am hoping for insight as to where I can find a decent bed for a condo (ie. one with drawers so I can maximize space). I heard of Space, but I'm not interested in spending 4K on a bed!! Anything more reasonable for a lower price range, yet more durable than something from...

    The Junction

Wow, lots happening in the Junction these days, new openings related. It's great to see. I also noticed in the new Toronto Life Shopping guide, there's a 2 page spread on Junction shopping. Junction Festival is right around the corner and extends further this year I understand...including...

    Lounge Chairs in Condos

Yeah Coltaine, I think I'm headed for a similar solution. I've always been in love with the idea/concept of having that chair to retire to after a long day's work, but need to be efficient with space. I was thinking of doing the chaise lounge thing AS WELL as a lounge chair, but I'm now...

    Japanese items/decor/etc

Appreciate the suggestions all! Basshats, does that store still exist?! Funny enough that's what I had in mind when I made this post but I haven't been to Vaughan Mills in like 3 years?

    Japanese items/decor/etc

Hi, pardon my lack of ability to describe specifically what I'm looking for, but are there stores in Toronto that have various Japanese items? I've heard of a shop called Cubeshops... http://www.blogto.com/design/cubeshops ...and I am looking for more places like this. Doesn't...
