    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Best view of Aura is from Mt. Pleasant Ave. - driving south from St. Clair; amazing views/angles- full sweep of downtown. Hard to take a pic while driving or even as a passenger. I did notice a staircase leading up to a building (or maybe it was a house) on the east side of Mt. Pleasant that...

I don't blame you!! Those lenses are super-expensive. Impressive alternative with photoshop though. Keep up the good work!

Mafaldaboy, brilliant shots. Did you use a perspective correcting lens or perspective correcting photoshop? I'm guessing the former.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

From Wikipedia (this section focuses on operating costs though). What they don't mention is that the province used to fund 75% of capital expansions until the Harris government in 1995: Historically, the TTC recovered its operating costs from the fare box. This was especially true during the...

Since this is a provincially funded, built and owned project (I've lost track of who will actually operate it -I know Metorlinx wanted to, but TTC objected), the City won't have much say on any future extension. If the City wants to fund it west of Mount Dennis, are we going to have a line...

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

Agreed, it would make more sense to have Simons here (as much as I would like to have Nordsrtom downtown) - the merchandise mix/price point and the store's target customer is better suited for Yonge and Dundas. The website "Retail Insider" did report however that Cadillac Fairview may try to...

Toronto St Regis Toronto Hotel and Residences | 281.93m | 58s | JFC Capital | Zeidler

the logo has been taken down from the CIBC (Commerce Court West) tower. Presumably to be replaced with an updated design from what I hear.

Clearly you need some educating on why real estate companies are in the business they are in - to acquire land, buildings, etc. to make money for their shareholders. I wondered what the purpose of this article was at first - a reference to 45 Bay Street? No. A reference to Ivanhoe Cambridge...

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Yes, actually, that's the base of Gehry's Beekman tower in lower Manhattan - now called New York by Gehry. The base of the building is a public school. http://www.newyorkbygehry.com/#!new-york-apartment-school

Until you notice the missing panel of green cladding - middle of the photo, halfway up on the north side.

Toronto Eight Forty on St Clair | 28.95m | 8s | Worsley Urban | RAW Design

Thanks for posting that pic. This makes more sense now. They are probably using the St. Clair site - with billboard for the semis - as the sales office for the semis and eventually the condos. Semis on St. Clair never did make much sense! :)

Western Canada's tallest structure being built in Calgary

What no one has mentioned is that this is a Brookfield development and a cut and paste design of Bay-Adelaide Centre - right down to the two tower concept - except for the height. The second tower appears to be maybe 30 storeys? With Bay-Adelaide's two towers at 50 and 44 storeys, Bay-Adelaide...

TCHC: West Don Lands Affordable Housing (589 King St E, 2x 4 + 8s, Core Architects)

This is no reflection on the photographer because these buildings look better in person, but in this light, they do not advance the cause of affordable housing and look dreary and bunker like (especially the view from the Gardiner - yikes!).

Toronto Eight Forty on St Clair | 28.95m | 8s | Worsley Urban | RAW Design

That definitely makes more sense for the site, but the signs, only recently put up, still show "semi's from $799K" with exterior renders. Very strange. Also of note - they have started construction on site of what will probably be the sales office.

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

I was at the site milling about with others after it happened and one of the construction workers did say that it is very windy up there. So that might have been a contributing factor.

    Toronto Residences at the RCMI Condos | 134.72m | 42s | Tribute | Zeidler

Couldn't agree more. If this were a Tridel project, that north wall (the concrete portion) would have been covered in grey cladding and nothing more.
