I think instead of hitting "Dufferin South", you'd want to do the exhibition grounds instead (convention centres, BMO field, Medieval times, night clubs, etc.).

The weekend should be interesting, both from a business and traffic standpoint. With out of towners not knowing the rules and locals avoiding king it could turn into a ghost town. All to save weekday commuters 3 minutes!

We all know Scarborough has been neglected by developers (lowest land value, etc.). Hopefully with the new transit lines there will be some new investment. These parking lots could become condos.

The ~25km HOV lanes will be a game changer. Carpoolers and buses will be home free from Hwy 410 to west of Milton, with the HOV lanes likely extended to K-W in another 5-10 years after. Will be interesting to see how they protect for the future GTA West highway.

The Waterfront LRT connection should really be a separate issue from any Gardiner talk. Wasn't the $2B for that over like 100 years? The LRT connection to Union should be a no-brainer. Has this LRT had a preliminary design yet?

Are you kidding? Do some research. The engineering and design costs are a fraction of the construction cost (typically 10%).

You still travel on about 75% of the 401 extension to reach the Ambassador bridge. So only a small fraction is currently a road to nowhere.

From what I have seen the 3rd ramp lane is still through and right, but it merges with the adjacent lane about 100m east of the intersection.

Hard to argue against widening the QEW in Mississauga when it's been the same 6 lanes over over 50 years now. It's likely the strength of the Lakeshore West GO Train route which is why this section of QEW hasn't been widened until now.
