Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

People along the western waterfront would disagree with you. The Waterfront West LRT (I'm talking west of Ontario Place) is nowhere in sight, and no alternatives are anywhere close, despite some of of the biggest growth in the city. This was a big part of Transit City.

Roads: GTA West Corridor—Guelph to 400

Always drive 110 most of the way on 11 North without an issue, except just south of New Liskeard where the OPP will pull you over even just doing 100.

Coronavirus and the impact to the real estate market

Hopefully we see a total stop on foreign investment. The handing out credit 'like candy' actually worked to help a lot of lower/middle income Canadians become pretty wealthy. But we don't want that, right? We want them to stay poor? Come on. We want that, instead of making these foreign...

    450 Evans Avenue (For Sale, ?s, ?)

Maybe another car dealership / auto mall, since it would be quite visible from the Gardiner, and this stretch is full of them. I think the Policaro Group has plans just east of here for new dealerships.

    Toronto | Islington Terrace | 145m | 45s | Tridel | Kirkor Architects

Looks like occupancy at Bloorvista has now started on certain floors. Islington Terrace seems to be fully occupied.

    Toronto | 2150 Lake Shore | 224.8m | 70s | First Capital | Allies and Morrison

Your statement is too general. In Scarborough, you are probably right. In Etobicoke, a lot of the ridership comes from Park and Rides at Islington and Kipling. I don't have the ridership breakdown, maybe you could share that since you are making the assertion. In North York, along Yonge, much...

    Toronto | 2150 Lake Shore | 224.8m | 70s | First Capital | Allies and Morrison

The lack of discussion about bringing the subway here is what is wrong with Toronto transit planning. These kinds of densities don't exist anywhere in North America without access to a rapid transit system. GO/Metrolinx is Regional Rail, not Local Rapid Transit. But go ahead and built that...

Elm Public School (100 Elm Dr W (Adult Education Centre South), PDSB, 2s, Moffet & Duncan Architects)

I really find it odd that the PDSB's planning put this ahead of areas in Brampton with schools at 200% capacity on their capital priorities list. These new condos will be full of a lot of young people, many without kids.

Toronto | CityPlace: Canoe Landing Community Centre & Schools | 15.85m | 3s | City of Toronto | ZAS Architects

Anyone know the breakdown of the schools? More space given at the TDSB part? I really think fewer young families (the demos here) chose Catholic schools.

Walmart Relocation Vaughan (SmartREIT, 1s, ?)

I understand that SmartCentres care more about the land value of the current Walmart, than about Walmart's success. But a lot of these units, especially at Transit City, do not have any parking. You have thousands of new people in the area without a car, and I can't see them walking that far...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Maybe more regional hiring. But if you are good enough to be a nurse in Toronto, why not in Clarington (or vice versa)? People avoid having to go through interviews, "starting over", so they "choose" to drive those commutes. What I'm saying is it would be good Public Health policy to try to...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

We should be trying to get people to stop relying on their cars. For some, the traffic/travel is inevitable, but for others, we can reduce it. Why doesn't the government do anything to reduce some of that congestion? There are a ton of nurses, teachers, police officers, government employees...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

And the 410. And the 401. There are a lot of people in Brampton and Caledon who might choose to travel east first to this highway, instead of going a little West to the 410/401.

    Toronto | Transit City Condos | 176.17m | 55s | CentreCourt | Diamond Schmitt

I've heard occupancy begins in August? Does that sounds right?

Queensway Health Ctr Expansion (Trillium Health Partners, 9s, ?)

Agreed. A lot of South Etobicoke heads to St Josephs for their services. Aren't they also going through a big expansion?
