Does someone know the answer to this question? I was curious about this too...
Re: https://www.toronto.ca/community-people/get-involved/public-consultations/infrastructure-projects/improving-davisville-avenue/
In fairness, I think that being able to give people a tangible example of how the reporting process could be better might be helpful in getting city staff to the table to improve the system. There may also be city staff that _want_ to improve the usability of the reporting forms, but that need...
Small construction update for the Tara Ave station: they have started forming concrete, put in platform lights, and channeled out the footpath connection. They were also doing concrete pours this morning to widen the base for the busway.
The City of Toronto did do a small utilization study in 2024 when they were updating the zoning by-law requirements for bicycle parking - see:
PH18.3 - Recommended Parking Requirements for New Development - Accessible, Bicycle, Visitor
From that item: Attachment 4: Bicycle Parking Utilization...
Thanks for sharing @TwoWheelPoli ! I wonder if the shift to having the City lead and/or fund (?) most of the future segments is related to the ongoing saga of conservation authority consolidation and mandate tightening from the provincial government. Or maybe it's just a question of who has the...
There is, it’s just not… good. It doesn’t have the painted bike symbols or the signs indicating that it’s a bike lane, so some people might consider it just a shoulder, though the city has installed bike route wayfinding signage along it.

Who knows! I wish more thought was put into this, at the moment, there are several awkward spots where legally I guess you would need to dismount. Not just on the new segments that aren’t properly connected yet either - the trail connection at Kennedy also dead ends into a sidewalk unless you...

The new segment from Marcos to west of midland appears to be open now (or at least the two entrances from Marcos are) - will check it out on my way back from work
Curious if anyone knows more about the work that's been going on on the old RT line in the last couple of months (at least from Kennedy/Eglinton to Lawrence, not sure about the other parts of the corridor). Is this something new or just prep work that was approved before after the derailment...
I think this is the general sign they use for all transit stop yields, including for bus platforms. See: photo from north side of Bloor just west of Bedford.
"Proposed bikeway connections in Segment 3 between The West Mall and The East Mall require Ministry of Transportation approval. Further consultation is planned for this segment in 2028-2029."
Frustrating that they have to delay this section, since having a safe highway crossing might be the...
