Update: the segment from Marcos to midland is open, but the part that dead-ends west of midland is still yet to be paved:

The new segment from Marcos to west of midland appears to be open now (or at least the two entrances from Marcos are) - will check it out on my way back from work

Curious if anyone knows more about the work that's been going on on the old RT line in the last couple of months (at least from Kennedy/Eglinton to Lawrence, not sure about the other parts of the corridor). Is this something new or just prep work that was approved before after the derailment...

The proposed trail alignment includes a note showing a new bridge over the GO line, but I don't think it's part of the current scope of work. So people would still have to use the existing footbridge at the end of Tara Ave to continue west until they build that connection later...
