    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

There is, it’s just not… good. It doesn’t have the painted bike symbols or the signs indicating that it’s a bike lane, so some people might consider it just a shoulder, though the city has installed bike route wayfinding signage along it. The Meadoway, 200ha

Who knows! I wish more thought was put into this, at the moment, there are several awkward spots where legally I guess you would need to dismount. Not just on the new segments that aren’t properly connected yet either - the trail connection at Kennedy also dead ends into a sidewalk unless you...

Last stretch of Harbord from Grace to Ossington is done - took some images here: https://panoramax.openstreetmap.fr/?s=fp;s2;p97e75206-1626-4743-9176-daf4df93958c;c260.24/0.00/30;m19.57/43.6600013/-79.4175336;vd;bs

    The Meadoway, 200ha

Update: the segment from Marcos to midland is open, but the part that dead-ends west of midland is still yet to be paved:

The new segment from Marcos to west of midland appears to be open now (or at least the two entrances from Marcos are) - will check it out on my way back from work

TTC: Scarborough Busway Construction (portion of the former Scarborough RT route)

Curious if anyone knows more about the work that's been going on on the old RT line in the last couple of months (at least from Kennedy/Eglinton to Lawrence, not sure about the other parts of the corridor). Is this something new or just prep work that was approved before after the derailment...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I think this is the general sign they use for all transit stop yields, including for bus platforms. See: photo from north side of Bloor just west of Bedford.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

"Proposed bikeway connections in Segment 3 between The West Mall and The East Mall require Ministry of Transportation approval. Further consultation is planned for this segment in 2028-2029." Frustrating that they have to delay this section, since having a safe highway crossing might be the...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I rode this yesterday and it looks like it's complete for the full project area from Sheppard to Lamberton. (Photo sequence) There were a couple road markings left to paint, but all the paving appeared to be finished. It's very nice, but there are some small details that seem odd to me. E.g...

    The Meadoway, 200ha

The proposed trail alignment includes a note showing a new bridge over the GO line, but I don't think it's part of the current scope of work. So people would still have to use the existing footbridge at the end of Tara Ave to continue west until they build that connection later...

    The Meadoway, 200ha

Some construction photos from yesterday - looks like they've dug out most of the trail alignment and started laying down the gravel: Midland Ave looking East: Midland Ave looking West: Marcos Blvd looking W:

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Thought folks might find this interesting - I took up to date street imagery of the bike lanes threatened by Bill 212: https://bikespacetoblog.wordpress.com/2025/05/27/taking-imagery-of-bike-lanes-at-risk-and-using-it-to-help-fix-bike-parking/ One thing that struck me the most is that there's...

    The Meadoway, 200ha

I added some imagery using a 360 cam for the Meadoway and surrounding trails to two open license platforms - check it out! Panoramax: https://api.panoramax.xyz/?focus=map&map=11.7/43.7733/-79.2222 Mapillary...
