13 seems very reasonable in this area, no need for 20 stories. It is in line with what's in the West Don Lands.

http://www.bramptonguardian.com/news-story/5834407-ontario-rules-out-alternate-route-for-brampton-lrt-sets-oct-31-deadline/ Looks like they have a deadline to say yes or the money goes elsewhere. Good riddance!

    SmartTrack (Proposed)

Let's say we did move to a zone system with GO/TTC/Metrolinx/etc integrated into one system, how would the funding/ financial aspect of this work? It seems to me that this would require more provincial oversight. How are these systems run in European cities?

    Toronto Bike Share

Cycling has always had huge amounts of conspicuous consumption -- just look at the number of people that spend thousands on race bikes, yet are horribly out of shape.

    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

^^ Something similar to Richmond/Adelaide may have been a better option. As much as I liked the idea of tearing it down, the 8-lane boulevard was never my favourite. If you build an 8-lane road with no transit, bike lanes and minimal stops, people will drive as fast as possible regardless of...

Good Point. I kept this in mind while I walked up Sackville last night, and you are spot on.

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

I can't seem to find the number, but does anyone know what the expected population growth is in the area in question/ portlands/ east end?

Just noted yesterday that a set of traffic lights have been installed at Sackville and Dundas in place of the crosswalk that is currently there. With the growth in population that crosswalk definitely needed to be changed.

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

Who exactly are these Toronto Elitists? I would think that John Tory falls into this precarious description as well as anyone, and he's voting to keep the Gardiner.

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

Sure the new development will add additional cars, but there are factors on the other side that seemingly get no mention. For instance, with the increased density, people are going to have to start making better locational decisions. IE. you can't live in the Beaches if you work in Port...

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

CodeBlue has been saying that the cost estimates of both options do not take the following into account: 1. The expropriation cost of new ramps for the 'hybrid' option. 2. Greater profits from land sales - and therefore development charges- for the boulevard option Does anyone know how true...

Will they leave the downtown core though for the suburbs though? We honestly do not have a good answer for this. We assume that's what will happen because of historical trends, but research is showing that this might not necessarily be the case. With millennials delaying having children to later...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

This could be. His interview on the Agenda the other day told me one thing, that he did not sound in favour of the Scarborough Subway, but he felt his hands were tied because of previous commitments.
