Stone planters look great. Poured concrete has been the norm for planters at the bases of condos over the past decade. It looks cheap and doesn't age well.

Apparently there was an abundant of bids for a restaurant on the south east corner of Waterscapes?

Keg was right up in there in the bidding process from what I heard . . . . . someones gotta give Eden a run for their money
Rabba opened up today in Nautilus and construction on a Gelato place will start soon

I keep hearing Oliver and bonicinni was very interested in that space. Havent been down to the area in a while but hope they have a good coffee shop , maybe Starbucks or Tim's will see the growth and expand eh.

Yes both Keg and Oliver and bonicinni are most likely coming it's just a matter of where. There will be a restaurant also at Ocean Club that is coming along. As for a coffee shop there is the French bakery/pastry shop that sells Starbucks right beside Eden called Cocoa Patisserie Boulangerie. Also the Rabba has finally opened in the Nautilus building and surprisingly is pretty nice, has a Subway inside as well. Other new shops are a dry cleaner "figures", sushi place, and veterinary clinic with a few more spots available.
With the increased density coming to the neighbourhood retail will pick up. Looking forward to it.

That's the rumour.
I hope all the retail will be up and kicking by the time my unit at Westlake is ready.

It's moving along. They finally closed off pretty much every opening in the building now that the temporary heat arrived. Framing/drywall pretty much done in the podium and commencing in the tower. Doors/trim/casing, tubs, and tiles being installed. Selection/modifications files for upgrades are closed.

Thanks for the update Josef! I also saw that one of the main floor units is already up for sale. Video of the unfinished unit is on utube and mls, cool to see the inside of the unit. Have a great holiday everybody!
