I know a great deal about what government gets up to in this town.........but even I can't track every last thing and don't pretend to; I can generally find out......but I see no need to ask a favour for something that will be public in less than 10 hours

Sorry for being unclear - I meant that the substance of the announcement could be tied to that, not that they'll be physically there!

Without wishing to suppress everyone’s hopes, there is work starting this month on the remaining tunnel of the west extension. But a tease like that, not addressing crosstown, would probably be bad publicity.

Any chance that the province will wait until the Renforth to Mount Dennis extension is completed before switching on Line 5?

At first glance before you said it was to be held in the west, I thought they would be announcing provincial funding for elginton East LRT
Or maybe the EG East project would be uploaded to MX to take care of

-training resumed mar 17
-software patch was just applied in the signalling system
-TTC have not started verifications; will happen after the end of driver training; estimated to take... no idea short of a 30 day trail run phase
-train frequencies and volumes have not been ramped up yet.
-NO DATE YET until TTC completes their verifications but still aiming for this year....
