+ Hidden are many of the government employees hired on (ongoing/never ending) contract. Doctors for example are typically self employed contractors and won't show up on the list, even though they are mostly paid by the government and can only be seen though the expense side of the ledger, often hidden.
Doctors' salaries are ridiculous in how they look large, but really aren't. They get paid fee for service (generally), out of which they need to pay a lot of overhead (office, supplies, admin staff, nursing, etc) plus taxes, plus save for retirement, etc.

The Sunshine list is soooo out of date that it is not funny.

As for Metrolinx, this show how out of touch they are at running a business that is poorly run/operates and should only have 1/10 of those VIP. Even at at 20% would be pushing it.

Those who work the maximum of overtime these days will make the sunshine list these days easy that have high wages in the first place.

This should be in Metrolinx thread.

Anybody got updates on the simulated service testing? Are the running even more train than before?
I spent about half an hour on the golden mile today and saw zero trains. There were work vehicles parked at some stops on this stretch with a small crew at each. What they were doing can only be described as blocking traffic.

I took another drive along Eglinton on Friday afternoon around 4 PM westbound from Kennedy to Brentcliffe.

I saw only 3 trains, all heading eastbound. One at Thermos Rd. One at Warden. And the third was parked in the pocket track near Sloane, which proceeded dead slow out of the pocket to head east. There was also a S&B car parked near Leslie, and there were two workers fiddling with the Presto fare machines on the platform there.

For heaven's sake, it's only been a week since the simulated testing was supposed to start, and it was already mentioned in here that the operators need to undergo a refresher before this can actually occur! Start panicking in a couple of weeks if nothing has changed.

I'm all for some good old fashioned doom and glooming, but some of you really take it way too far.

you're right, I was jumping to conclusions and I totally forgot about the refresher classes.
I just saw the posts about the lack of trains on the line compared to Wednesday and immediately thought the worst.

There is no panicking, nor any exaggeration whatsoever in these most recent posts. All facts and reasonable questions. Please get over yourself.

This doesn’t warrant what you’re apologizing for, though your requests for updates are a bit excessive. Expect new information to be shared as it’s observed.

I deleted the comment that T3G was responding to because it was way too hyperbolic and not well thought out. 👍
