an inquiry will do nothing for this project... any blame will be assigned long after the coffers are filled and the contractors have walked away.Is a public inquiry justified here?

Just heard on Newstalk 1010, a leaker within Metrolinx is saying that they are targeting December 2024 for the opening day. Take it for what it is
As I noted, the cost of the legal battle over the LRV's has to be added to the budget regardless where the LRV's went or were removed.see im still not sure. is it over budget? the budget from 2010 was 12 billion right?

Province had no choice but to seek Bombardier substitute for Eglinton LRT: Del Duca | Toronto Star
“I refuse to stand idly by in this time of uncertainty,” said the minister of transportation. “From my perspective it’s essential that we take responsible action in order to ensure that we successfully deliver on our commitments to open these transit projects on time.”web.archive.org
can you count this in the budget?
IIRC some of theese went to the ion lrt
since that was 2017 and we havent heard anything since then, im skeptical that bombardier failed to deliver.
... why must they wait until everything is done?
Crosslinx asked that too. Metrolinx's response to their desire to open the line in early 2022 without Eglinton/Yonge station (through-running only, no stopping) has sent them to observing the letter of the contract.
It annoys me that the stairs to Eglinton from ET Seaton Park are blocked off due to this crap.
What does this article say?
I wonder whether other news outlets will pick this up... I can't wait for them do so. More drama lolJust heard on Newstalk 1010, a leaker within Metrolinx is saying that they are targeting December 2024 for the opening day. Take it for what it is…

If the date is already leaked then Vester has no option but to announce the date at its next update.
And that the hill is (AFAIK from my last visit) still bare with dirt and silt, and remains somewhat prone to erosion. Although perhaps they addressed that. I'll check up on this later this month.Crosslinx asked that too. It's behind a paywall. I can't see it. But from the comments further below it looks like Newstalk 1010 has mentioned the December 2024 date. I assume other media will pick this up.What does this article say?
"As the only station at a T intersection" I noticed that they put bollards in front of the station for the inevitable Toronto Driver
Metrolinx has started to do video tours of the stations and stops.

I hope they’re actually functional because before you know it, we’ll have “temporary” concrete barriers up.Toronto drivers will find a way
