Not sure if anyone noticed (I don’t expect anyone to look at this mess so no big deal if you haven’t), but there is a light feature on the crown that tries to mimic the original. Looks like bars of light behind frosted glass on the upper level.
 
yes, well said! the design is jarring and looks like half of it is still under construction, but the quality of the work and materials looks excellent.
 
...I'm not sure the poor folks who had to the job putting up that polished bathroom tile excrement should ever be blamed for doing so. They did what they had to do. And I hope they got paid well for it.
