The growth of Toronto's Bloor-Yorkville skyline continues to impress. With the Bloor-Yonge subway interchange station central to the area, and Toronto's best shopping in the surrounding blocks, it's no wonder that the area is in the sights of so many developers. Soon to contribute to this growing skyline is Bazis and Plaza's 1 Yorkville. The 55-storey Rosario Varacalli-designed condo tower will rise on the southwest corner of Yonge and Yorkville, along the eastern edge of the trendy shopping district.

1 Yorkville's architecture is a departure from the typical Toronto norm. To be hidden from Yonge Street by a row of restored heritage storefronts, 1 Yorkville's place on the local skyline will be marked by a series of sunlight-catching sculptural aluminum fins running up the full height of each of the the tower's faces. Possibly the project's main selling point, however, comes in the form of the truly unique set of amenities that will be located in two dramatic locations in the project.

Sky-high in a spot that takes best advantage of the drama the location offers, the1 Yorkville's rooftop will give all residents of the tower access to the panoramic vistas more often reserved for only the occupants of penthouse suites.

To go along with the spectacular views, the rooftop amenity area, seen in the renderings above and below, will feature an outdoor lounge, barbecue, and dining area ringed by a water channel, while stairs to a sundeck will become an outdoor cinema by night. Inside there's a party room that carries on the warm tones of the outdoor deck.

Fifty floors below is another dramatic spot where the tower begins to rise above the heritage storefront podium. Here 1 Yorkville boasts large amenity spaces on both the fourth and fifth floors, including a spa, a rest lounge and aqua massage station, a cross-fit studio plus fitness gallery, and hot-and-cold plunge pools inside…

1 Yorkville's last suite release has now been made, and prospective purchasers have their last chance at pre-construction pricing for the next short while.
