When we last looked at the Ontario Place revitalization project, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport announced that LANDinc and West 8 had been selected to design the urban park on the east island that will form part of Ontario Place’s redesign. During that time the Ministry also announced that the public will be able to give their input about the project through four public consultations.
Well, on December 4th the first of these public consultations will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre at 255 Front Street. The meeting will commence at 6 PM in room 201 with the environmental assessment kicking off discussions. The consultations are planned to last until 9 PM and will close with a roundtable discussion and Q&A session. The project team and the designers from LANDinc and West8 will be in attendance to hear everyone's ideas.
For those who are unable to attend in person, you can participate on Twitter by using #OntarioPlace and follow the revitalization team at @ExploreON. There will be a livestream of all the public consultations at www.ontario.ca/myontarioplace. Additionally, all materials and feedback forms from the meetings will also be available from the same website.
