Progress looks nice.

Even before this opens, can't wait to go pedestrian-express fully indoors to York concourse (either via moat or via still-under-construction Bay concourse walk-through link to York).

Does anyone know how progress is going on Union Chicken or Amano? Maybe you've seen the hoarding doors open when you've gone by?

I think I remember hearing of November openings, but that talk was way back when. I never hear construction going on there when I walk by. Been meaning to hop on a nearby bench and peek over the hoarding to see how things are coming along.

Don't forget Bagel Stop! They're not just bagels!
Or Uncle Tetsu's. They have matcha.

I think that currently, Union Chicken and Amano is waiting for the York Moat (TD Carriageway) to reopen to the public. That will bring sufficient foot traffic to justify their businesses.

The moat walk (er, TD Carriageway) is going to become a very popular express path between TTC and York Concourse, as a brighter, wider, faster, airier walk than the current Leather Shop Bypass. My prediction is December 2017.

I appreciate every such photo! Has anyone got any info on how they're going to construct this canopy over the east moat while still permitting pedestrian traffic? My guess is they're going to build it in two or three stages, finishing the first stage, and then rerouting pedestrians under it in order to complete the rest. When they built the west moat canopy, all the columns were installed before any of the covering framing was installed, so this time the photos show evidence of completing just one (or two?) sections first.

Amano recently posted their liquor licence application request, so they're slowly chugging along

More to appreciate:

That appears to be exactly what they are doing.

Here are some shots of the bay concourse that I took around 8:40 tonight 10/26/17
