Is that not just the case which will hold the spire that's being raised?
Or will the spire rise higher than where the support beam currently rests?
 
From the looks of it there is still a bit to go. I can see what looks like the bottom of the spire.

These photos are looking great. Really making the Trump look like a CBD landmark.
Question.....although the opening date is a good distance away, anyone have any guesses as to how long it will be until all the cladding (and lighting) are installed?

The only places Trump will be the second tallest building in Canada are official listings, and Trump advertisements. To normal people, Scotia is still #2.

Counting spires as part of the height is like saying I'm about 7 feet tall, because I can reach my arm up that high.

The Scotia exec's should call in a welder and have him go up to the roof with an 8 foot pole. That's all it would take to end this debate.
