DuEast? What a stupid name! I've never heard a single person in my whole life ever say "I'm going to DuWest". lol It's called "Little Portugal" not DuWest! I agree, let's keep the Regent Park name, shall we.

Daniels now plans to build the midrise building as condos, not a co-op:

That's quite the bait and switch.. really doesn't help at all with the affordability of our city.

I suppose if Daniels wasn't obligated / contracted to do a certain type of tenure on this block, business is business and they can do whatever they want, just like any other developer?

Plenty of room for them to build a co-op elsewhere in RP

The financing for the Co-op wasn't able to be put in place in time. It will now be built in block 17s, just across Tubman Street to the east.
