Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

I knew that the clocks on the cupola of St Lawrence hall were nit original but I see there used to be a fancy 'parapet' that was not replaced during the 1967 'rebuilding". (Older photo from TPL via Torontoist (Historicist ) http://torontoist.com/2016/11/historicist-the-noiseless-revolution/#more-389144 ) The 'south wing" also lost its mansard roof and windows.

the "now" view of eglinton/bayview needs an update -- the mall is languishing due to traffic congestion as a result of Eglinton Crosstown (not to mention uncertainty because of an impending condo project)

i might be out there in a day or so, it's less than a mile from my place...

looking closer, there appears to be a building amidst some trees just left of EYCI.... I wonder if that might be the original Plains Rd schoolhouse that John Diefenbaker went to.....

after looking more closely, I wonder if that building amidst some trees just left of EYCI is the old Plains Rd schoolhouse that John Diefenbaker went to in the early 1900's....
