I was afraid of that. But, since you signed that agreement they don't have to finish until your new time. I'm getting the sense they've stopped working on the units that have been pushed back and are focusing on the units that have a December date. You probably won't get in until a week before...

The pre-approval rates are higher because the bank wants to be sure you can handle it, just in case they do go up. Once the building is ready to close, you will then negotiate your real mortgage rate. BTW pre-approvals only last 4 months, so you will have to be pre-approved again once we know...
