Toronto Malibu Harbourfront Condo | ?m | 32s | Malibu Investments | P + S / IBI

When this building is complete, it will immediately look about 12 years old.

They should wire Ace of Base into the elevators.

LMAO... I love this quote! Ahaha... A great condo for very 90s folks then. A 90s contemporary style, some Ace of Base beats playing in the background, can't go wrong with that.

Anybody know where the parking garage access will be? I had always assumed it was on the north side of the building, kind of in the middle where the building wraps around on the east, west and south sides. I was there today however, and didn't see an access garage.

Any ideas?

P.S. First floor residents start moving in March 10.

Probably won't make much of a difference to the likely occupants- fly-by-night escort operations, quasi-offices, and terrorist cells.

Do you know if the escort services are there for the terrorist cells?

I don't mind this one actually- maybe it's the set-backs. Escort services? That ain't a bad thing for a lot of people :p

No judgments on good or bad Bog. Live and let live. Just giving my opinions on the future flavor of the hood.

^when I read this fellow's posts I'm reminded of a TV commercial... "Sorry, you've got bankers......". Worse than termites but easily corrected with some kind of credit card. I'm sure there's an affinity card available for poorly-informed investors.

Does anyone live in this area?

I'm a total n00b to this site, but I think this is a horrible place. Not in terms of it's architecture, which I admittedly know nothing about (and I'm not sure I even care), but it's location. There are so many new and existing projects in this area with only one streetcar providing service. The traffic in this area is nuts!

I wonder when the old Food Bank will be turned into something..loft conversion maybe???

There are two streetcar lines, neither of which is operating at capacity.

The old Daily Bread Food Bank building was slated to become a grocery store (Loblaw's I think), but the project seems stalled.

The master plan for the general area looks great. Lots of parks and public spaces, dedicated LRT on Fleet, Loblaws (I presume they are waiting for the majority of this master plan to be complete, and for the overall density of the area to increase) on the east corner of Bathurst and Lake Shore Blvd. Minutes away from the renovated (by 2010 hopefully) Queens Quay boardwalk and Central Waterfront. The old dingy area (with cement plant and all) will be completely revitalized within the next 5 or 6 years. It'll be great!

FYI, a picture of LTD is now available (courtesy of Metro news).
