February, 2026 saw Toronto continue to push through our coldest winter in years, with construction crews and transit testing carrying on despite temperatures and lingering snowbanks, while attention remained firmly on transit as the long-awaited opening of Eglinton Line 5 reshaped transit conversations across the city, with development proposals from Etobicoke to Downtown and beyond kept planners and Forum members busy, with skyline-defining construction progress in the mix too.

Let's review our top stories, database files, and threads for February, 2026.

A Reece Martin-penned feature ranking all 15 stations on the freshly opened Eglinton Line 5 drew strong readership at the end of the month, with just over 30 hours or time to break into the Top 10 at #11. At #13, The HUB generated search activity as speculation intensified that the stalled office proposal could be next to move forward. The Downtown project, which would qualify as a 'supertall' by virtue of its spire, continues to attract attention both for its height potential and for ongoing Forum discussion about whether changing office market conditions might finally see it greenlit.

Construction progress continued to drive search activity last month, with Pinnacle One Yonge holding the top position as the waterfront 'supertall' climbs toward its final floors. Downtown 'supertalls' remained firmly in focus, as One Bloor West advances its crown and tuned mass damper installation, while Concord Sky and Forma continue to rise. The United BLDG also drew attention as its future 55-storey tower rises behind the restored 1928 Maclean Publishing Building at University and Dundas.
