The view southwest view between the TD Bank Tower and the TD North Tower in Downtown Toronto used to be one of the City's iconic views, with the CN Tower rising prominently within the narrow aperture. That view is now compromised by 160 Front West, recently built between the TD Centre and the CN Tower, and blocking most of the latter.
The reverse angle of that formerly iconic view, however, while lesser known, is still dramatic. Looking northeast from the TD Centre's courtyard provides a view of the red granite-sheathed Scotiabank Tower and the limestone-covered Bank of Nova Scotia Building at its feet. Currently, as seen in this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor DarkSideDenizen, the colours and geometries here are augmented by the conical Christmas tree erected in the courtyard.
