Get ready, UrbanToronto community! We are excited to invite you to our upcoming in-person Buildings Show event this Friday, December 1st, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Scheduled from 10:30 am to noon, this event is a must-attend for industry insiders, development enthusiasts, and anyone fascinated by urban evolution.
Our focus at The Buildings Show is twofold: a discussion on UrbanToronto's 20-year journey, which we celebrated through the month of October, and delving into the details of one of Toronto’s most ambitious projects in years, The Well, as it opens to the public.
We are proud to feature an impressive panel of experts, including: UrbanToronto’s Co-Owner, Edward Skira; Managing Editor, Craig White; and our Research Analyst/Economist, Ash Navabi. Joining them are guests from The Well, including Kim Valliere, Vice-President of Project Management & Sustainability at RioCan; Anthony Casalanguida, Executive Vice-President, General Manager of The Well; Bruno Giancolo, Executive Vice-President at Tridel; and Dimitri Kritikos, Director of Property Management at Rhapsody Living.
The panel will dive into UrbanToronto's journey over the past two decades, highlighting significant changes and developments in the Toronto landscape. The spotlight of our discussion will also shine brightly on The Well, a landmark development project that stands as a testament to urban ingenuity, extending Downtown Toronto westwards. Tridel represents the project's condominium component, and Rhapsody Living its rental living.
This transformative project is reshaping the concept of mixed-use spaces in Canada. At the heart of this development is a uniquely updated blend of residential, commercial, and retail components, creating a dynamic new urban hub. The Well distinguishes itself not just by its scale, spanning over three million square feet, but also through its architectural ambition, featuring seven buildings, ranging from terraced mid-rises to imposing towers. Expected to become a bustling centre for approximately 22,000 visitors daily, it will provide a contemporary urban lifestyle for thousands of residents and workers. The project's comprehensive approach to urban development encompasses over a million square feet of office space and a rich array of retail experiences.
