After taking a swipe yesterday at the lack of colour and its attendant warmth in Toronto's newer neighbourhoods, today's Daily Photo considers the message of this temporary art installation in the same neighbourhood, 'A Reminder That You Too Are Atmosphere' by Waterfront Toronto's 2022 Artist in Residence Lisa Hirmer. Captured on a foggy January day by UrbanToronto Forum contributor ADRM, the sign reminds us that we all have a part to play in making the city we live a place that we'd want to live in. While the photo emphasizes the setting and weather's outsized role in creating atmosphere, the message can be taken seriously, but it would be nice to feel that we have not been so much of the responsibility to bring warmth to Toronto by a development industry that all too often sacrifices aesthetics for greater profit.
