There's something about the rain that makes Jaume Plensa's Dreaming look particularly at home in the square in front of 120 Adelaide West in the heart of Downtown Toronto. World-renowned Plensa speaks of the head as the "palace of dreams, the palace of wisdom, the palace of our more important questions." Rainy days tend to make us reflect a little more, just like the surfaces the rain touches, lending this arresting yet elegant sculpture, over eight metres tall but beguilingly foreshortened, extra poignancy.
