On the northwest corner of Bloor and Huron Streets in Downtown Toronto, the Bloor Street United Church, first constructed in 1886, is soon to be integrated into a high-rise redevelopment of the site. Collecdev's Cielo Condos will rise 29 storeys above the church, bringing 284 units of high-rise density to the Annex neighbourhood.
The complex, designed by KPMB Architects with heritage specialists ERA Architects handling the restorative aspects of the project to handsomely incorporate the church, won a number of major awards at the Nationals 2022 New Home Sales and Marketing Awards, recently held in Orlando, Florida.
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) honours the best in the building industry — including home builders, developers, associates, and consultants for their "determination, integrity, creativity, and endurance" and this year, the NAHB National Sales and Marketing Council has honoured Collecdev with five silver awards and two gold for the Cielo Condos project.
A diverse panel of industry professionals selected the 2022 Award winners from almost 1,200 entries. Silver Award Winners are the top vote recipients in each category and are the finalists for the Gold Award. Cielo Condos won silver in the following five categories;
- Best Multi-Family Community
- Best Digital Campaign
- Best Social Media Campaign
- Best Community Brochure
- Best Presentation Centre
Cielo Condos won gold in the following two categories;
- Multi-Family Community of the Year
