The Grand Hotel, originally the Toronto RCMP Building, stood at 225 Jarvis Street for 49 years. Not anymore. At 13 storeys, it was caught up in Toronto's escalating land values, no longer providing as much space as the new value of the land demands. Coming soon, a new hotel, and new residential suites in a 49-storey building. In the meantime though, at least briefly, it became Grand Lake, in this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor and Moderator ShonTron.
