Today's Daily Photo is taken by UrbanToronto Forum contributor DavidCapizzano of part of the east wall of the 1931-built Commerce Court North Tower podium, a building that was originally called the Canadian Bank of Commerce Building. The tallest structure in the British Empire when it was completed in 1931, by the time it was surpassed in height in 1962 it still held the record as the tallest building in the British Commonwealth. Today, it remains a significant presence in the heart of the Financial District.
