The Benvenuto Group's new luxury rental apartment building a few blocks from of Eglinton subway station at the northeast corner of Redpath and Soudan avenues in Midtown Toronto now has a name: The Whitney on Redpath. Our coverage of the NEUF architect(e)s and CMV Group architects-designed building under its address at 71 Redpath has described its consistent progress towards an eventual height of 21 storeys; the building is currently nearing the 10th floor, and windows and masonry cladding will be installed in the coming weeks.

Upon completion, suites at The Whitney on Redpath will feature nine foot ceilings, finishes that include washrooms with floor to ceiling porcelain tile and large glass showers, bedrooms with built-in closet organizers, kitchens with quartz countertops, and balconies or terraces off of every suite.

The Whitney will bring 180 purpose-built rental units to this flourishing part of the city, with residents having access to luxury condominium-quality amenities including a rooftop pool, outdoor lounge, dining area fitted with barbecues, and a cabana lounge for tenants to enjoy. A fitness centre on the fourth floor will house a resistance training circuit, cardio equipment, plus spin and yoga studios.

Services offered include a 24-hour concierge as well as high speed WiFi access in all common areas of the building. Interiors by Patton Design Studio include the welcoming, two-storey lobby with its concierge desk, seen below.

The Whitney was designed to be energy efficient, and features Energy Recovery Ventilation units in each apartment, LED lighting, Energy Star appliances, WIFI programmable thermostats, “all-off” light switches at front doors, electric car charging, and on-site car-share in its four-level underground garage.

Close to all that Yonge and Eglinton has to offer, The Whitney is walking distance from high-paced entertainment, shopping, and transit, as well as parks and café’s in the surrounding neighbourhood.
