Madison Group and Westdale Properties are gradually revealing more details of their new development at Yonge and Castlefield in Midtown Toronto. The Capitol Residences has been teased for months now, via regular releases of another new rendering of the 14-storey, Turner Fleischer Architects and Hariri Pontarini Architects-designed building.
This rollout began by highlighting the development along with its heritage component, to feature restored exterior walls of the 1918-built Capitol Theatre, its marquee, and canopy over the Yonge Street sidewalk.
Next, potential purchasers were treated to a taste of the building's red-carpet, celebrity-inspired resident experience, along with a peek at the Studio Munge-appointed interiors through a rendering of the porte-cochère.
The interiors came into clearer focus last month, when a rendering was released showing a golf simulator amenity featuring a palette of greens with finishes including suede, marble, and brass.
Now, the latest rendering to be released pulls back for a new look at the building east exterior over Yonge Street, positioning the viewer facing south and drawing attention to the building's generous private terraces—separated by translucent glazing—and The Capitol's 10th-floor amenity terrace.
On the tenth floor, an outdoor amenity terrace will measure 255 m² in area, offering purchasers what marketing for the development deems a "garden wonderland"
The Capitol Residences will be bringing 145 one, two, and three-bedroom residences to an evolving stretch of Yonge in Midtown Toronto. The building will boast amenity spaces on levels two and three, as well as a mix of spaces on the 10th floor including an indoor amenity space connected to the outdoor terrace shown above. We've already been treated to a sneak peek at other amenity spaces, and more is sure to be revealed in the coming months.
