Hariri Pontarini Architects (HPA) is a leading Canadian, full-service practice known for crafting projects of enduring value. Founded in 1994 by Siamak Hariri and David Pontarini, the firm’s portfolio spans a diverse range of cultural, healthcare, higher education, mixed-use, commercial, and residential projects of international acclaim. Distinguished by an unwavering commitment to design excellence, and an aspiration to create architecture that can uplift and inspire, HPA’s growing body of work has helped to elevate and expand Canada’s architectural profile on the global stage.

Over the past 30 years, HPA has been honoured with over 100 awards, including four Governor General’s Medals in Architecture and the prestigious RAIC International Prize for the Bahá’í Temple of South America. In 2013, the practice received the RAIC Architectural Firm Award for their contributions to architectural design and urban vitality.
Whether it is a complex multi-decade master plan, mixed-use development, academic flagship building, healthcare facility, cultural destination, or private residence, each project reflects a rigour and dedication to creating timeless, elegant architectural and urban solutions. Evert project the firm undertakes evolves from intensive research, attention to detail and craftsmanship, an emphasis on enduring materials, strong sensitivity to site, and a collaborative, design-oriented approach.
