Coming to Scarborough's rejuvenating West Hill neighbourhood, Firmland Developments Corp is bringing a mid-rise condo to the rim of Highland Creek valley, with the Core Architects-designed building aptly dubbed Perch Condominiums. The project's connection to the outdoors is not confined to its branding: the flowing curves of its north elevation are designed to follow the natural edge of the valley, and so too the building's Cecconi Simone-appointed amenity spaces follow the same cues, some amenities embracing the valley edge to take best advantage of the natural setting and its views.
One of these spaces is the ravine-side party room, boasting a curved expanse of near floor-to-ceiling glazing that frames views into the valley for those enjoying it, while just beyond the glazing, a patio perfect for stretching out on a chair to read is just one of several activities that the outdoor amenities along the north and west edges of the building will accommodate.
The outdoors here also has areas designed for those with pets, while a barbecue and dining table nestled beside a water feature is ready for al fresco eating, while the west edge will include a kids' play area and areas designed to enhance exercise and relaxation.
Another outdoor space on the building's 12th floor will boast great views over the Highland Creek ravine parks and beyond: the rooftop amenity terrace will feature more al fresco cooking and dining areas, spaces to lounge, and the burbling sounds of another water feature.
The project will bring 163 condominium units and five integrated condominium townhomes with private street entrances to Kingston Road, offered in a range of suites spanning from 466 ft² to 1,385 ft² in area and one through three-bedroom layouts.
