While the Toronto condo market has been hot in recent months, presentation centres continue to serve a limited number of visitors due to health and safety restrictions. With the coming return to normal, many of the sales centres will soon host greater numbers of visitors, but for now, photos and virtual tours provide a window into these spaces. The latest space being shown off provides a preview of The Dupont by Tridel, a nine-storey, Turner Fleischer Architects-designed condo development planned at 840 Dupont Street, just east of Ossington.
Another kilometre east of where The Dupont will rise, Tridel has opened a new sales centre for the project at 408 Dupont Street, between Bathurst and Spadina. In use by Tridel since 2017, the building previously housed the presentation centre for Tridel's nearby Bianca project, before recently being remodelled to match the branding and U31-designed interiors of The Dupont.
Visitors to the space—Tridel is accepting guests by appointment only—arrive in a reception area with an architectural scale model of the building serving as its centrepiece. As seen in the exterior view above, this feature will stand out to passersby on Dupont Street, framed by an expanse of floor-to-ceiling glazing that cleanly integrates the presentation centre's main entrance.
Deeper into the presentation centre, a central hallway branches off into spaces for finishes, seating areas, and vignettes of a kitchen and a bathroom.
The kitchen vignette shows off suite features including stone countertops and backsplashes softened by warm wood finishes, along with integrated stainless steel appliances.
This aesthetic is carried over to the bathroom vignette, with a crisp linear look and bright lighting combining natural finishes. The bathroom vignette includes features such as dual sinks and a glass-walled walk-in shower.
The vignettes work alongside other sales centre features like floor plans, finish selection boards, and digital displays that provide a preview of life in the building's 330 condominium units.
