Redevelopment of the Galleria Shopping Centre site in Toronto's West End is now in full swing with the initial phases of the Galleria on the Park. As work progresses on Galleria 01 & 02, the first buildings of the master-planned community from ELAD Canada, more details are coming to light about Galleria III, the next phase of the project. The 31-storey Hariri Pontarini Architects-designed third tower will act as part of a northeastern gateway to the wider Galleria site at Dupont and Dufferin streets.
Among the latest images to be released are those of the DesignAgency-appointed interior spaces that will function as extensions of the building's 429 units, giving residents a range of common and amenity spaces that cater to a range of lifestyles. When coming and going, the first space residents and visitors will encounter is Galleria III's Grand Lobby, a double-height space designed with a hotel-like feel. The mix of the curvilinear and the rectilinear in this light-filled space will create a dialogue between the exterior's flatiron design and the interior spaces.
Several amenities are divided across two levels dubbed the Wellness and Social Floors. On the Wellness Floor, residents are to find a collection of spaces dedicated to personal health and wellness like a fitness room including a separate spin room, a meditation room, and connected outdoor yoga and outdoor post-workout relaxation spaces.
A space known as the "Spa Circuit" is to offer a rain shower, steam room, and sauna with sleek modern details.
With working trends changing and the work-from-home model more popular than ever, a co-working lounge amenity will give residents the flexibility to work from home without the everyday distractions found in their suites.
For residents looking to downsize, or 'rightsize' without giving up the conveniences of a single-family home, a space known as The Workshop provides residents with a multipurpose space with a library of tools for use in DIY home improvement, gardening, bike repair, and the pursuit of other projects. Other spaces planned for the Wellness Floor include the Pet’s Place where pets can exercise and socialize, as well as an outdoor kids play zone dedicated to them.
Galleria III's Social Floor is to feature spaces geared more towards entertaining and relaxing, including a private dining room boasting features such as a chef's kitchen and wine cellar, where residents can host dinners.
A Social Lounge space will include a pool table, ample seating, and a space age hanging fireplace dramatically framed by floor-to-ceiling glazing that hugs the tower's curved eastern bullnose, with panoramic city views behind.
Another spaces that growing families will enjoy is the Kids Club, to feature play and hangout spaces for kids of a range of ages, including colourful finishes and features like a foosball table.
Other spaces planned for the Social Floor include an outdoor terrace with lounge seating, reservable dining areas, and cooking areas, as well as an outdoor swimming pool and lounge area.
The first release of suites at Galleria III is currently sold out, though the second release of suites is now launching. This includes a new release of terrace suites, offering a cross-section of the one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts that will be found in the project. These suites will come with interior areas ranging in area from 517 to 1,250 ft², and private outdoor spaces measuring from 95 to a generous 875 ft². Located on the third and eighth floors, these terrace suites include two-bedroom corner units and one-bedroom+den layouts offering one or two bathrooms. Registrations are being accepted on the project website.
