The redevelopment of the LCBO Lands is heading skyward near Lake Shore and Jarvis along Toronto's waterfront. Here, Menkes Developments is building a mixed-use community known as Sugar Wharf, set to populate the area with 4.6 million ft² of new office, condo, and retail space, along with public realm improvements including a new park. The initial phases are being built on the eastern half of the site, set to include a 25-storey office tower and a pair of condo towers that will hit 64 and 70 storeys.

Work is currently furthest along at the site of the 25-storey, B+H Architects-designed office tower at 100 Queens Quay East. Crews are currently forming the building's eleventh floor, and the process of forming and pouring concrete has accelerated as workers have gotten into the rhythm of building the repeating floor layouts. In the last month, the tower has risen approximately four levels.

As the tower rises into the local skyline, the first panels of curtainwall glazing have been spotted along the east side of the podium levels. This curtainwall glazing includes a mix of clear glazing and muted seafoam green spandrel panels framed in slender mullions, a departure from the darker-toned materials depicted in renderings.

Just north of the rising office tower—and separated from it by a strip of land destined to be conveyed to the City for the extension of Harbour Street—work is heating up on the architectsAlliance-designed Sugar Wharf Condos Phase 1. After reaching grade earlier in the Fall, the first floor of the complex's shared podium has been gradually taking shape, a complicated task due to the podium's one-off floorplans and integral structural elements.

While remaining sections of the ground floor are being formed, the first signs of the podium's second level have been spotted at the west end of the site along Cooper Street.
