The redevelopment of aging two-storey commercial buildings on Bloor between Jane and Riverview in Toronto's Bloor West Village nears as more details of Bijou on Bloor, a 12-storey, Quadrangle-designed condominium development from Plaza are released. The project's 195 units come in a wide range of suite layouts catering to a variety of lifestyles, including a selection of suites offering large private terraces.

Among the more compact offerings, a range of one-bedroom+den units are available, ranging in area from 538 ft² to 676 ft². These include layout 1D1-F, a 575 ft² unit arranged around a combined open-concept living/dining/kitchen area, including a flexible den area and a recessed balcony.

Stepping up in area, the building includes a range of two-bedroom and two-bedroom+den layouts, with two-bedroom models ranging in size from 731 ft² to 1,573 ft², and two-bedroom+den layouts ranging from 1,283 ft² to 1,654 ft². Among the two-bedroom+den layouts, model 2D-K offers 1,393 ft² of living area including a master and second bedroom—both with ensuite bathrooms—a den, an open-concept living/dining/kitchen area, and a balcony.

A range of three-bedroom units are also available, ranging from 835 ft² to 2,017 ft² in area. This includes layout 3-J. An impressive 1,992 ft², this is one of the largest suites available at Bijou on Bloor. Of the three bedrooms, two come with ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets, with a total of three bathrooms and a powder room. Other features in this layout include a pantry and a balcony connected to the combined living/kitchen/dining area.

A select run of suites are offered as part of the building’s “Terrace Collection,” offering units ranging from 731 ft² up to 2,017 ft², each offering a large outdoor terrace. The largest of these suites—and the largest offered within the development—is 3-KT. This 2,017 ft² layout offers three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a massive outdoor terrace wrapping around two sides of the suite.
