The Toronto skyline's impressive growth over the past several years has made for some pretty cool photo comparisons in our weekly Throwback Thursday feature, and today we return with another look at how much we have grown in just a few short years.
Back on June 18, 2008, the view from Moss Park was quite a bit different than what we see today. The west tower of the Bay Adelaide Centre was growing, First Canadian Place was still sporting its Carrara marble exterior, and the Trump Tower was nowhere to be seen. In the foreground we can see the tower crane for Glasshouse Lofts at Queen and Jarvis.
Fast forward to September 25, 2014, and the Bay Adelaide Centre now has a second tower under construction, the Trump is open for business, First Canadian Place has a sleek new glass exterior, and Glasshouse Lofts is long-completed and occupied. On the far right, the 66-storey Shangri-La can be seen in the background.
We will return next week with another look at the changing face of Toronto!
