Towering 72 floors above Toronto's Financial District, First Canadian Place has remained unrivalled as Canada's tallest business landmark since 1975.

Brookfield Properties, in partnership with its co-owners, is embarking on a multi-faceted rejuvenation project that will transform this classic corporate icon and redefine its position as the country's premier address for business and pleasure.

With a brilliant new white fritted glass exterior curtain wall, FCP will once again be a sleek and commanding silhouette on the city's skyline. The newly designed common areas will combine modern aesthetics with urban elegance. A new standard for sustainability and operational efficiency will be achieved with the introduction of the latest electrical and mechanical systems while providing the ultimate in comfort for discerning tenants.

FCP's tower will be completely re-clad with bright white laminated fritted glass and bronze glass corner panels creating a glimmering new architectural identity. By utilizing 8'x10' white glass panels, coupled with 4' X 7' bronze corner panels, the tower will gain a sleek and streamlined appearance as it rises into the sky.

The integration of white fritted glass into the complex's podium will make a fresh new visual statement greeting tenants and guests alike and improving the street level impact at one of downtown Toronto's most important intersections.

FCP lobbies will be transformed and provide a dramatic first impression fitting of this landmark property. The newly designed common areas will combine modern aesthetics with stately elegance. Fritted glass, brushed metal finishes on railings, ceiling accents and natural stone flooring with carpet insets will infuse a clean and contemporary new look. FCP office lobbies will receive new ceiling treatments, flooring and lighting that will provide overall integration with other areas of the complex.

Lobby staircases will be redesigned to be lighter in scale, offer enhanced natural lighting and improved circulation. Low profile planters and a unique water feature will bring tranquility to the new common areas of FCP.

With FCP's Master Design Plan as the guiding principle, the building's 200,000 sq. ft. retail concourse will be rejuvenated with inspired contemporary design providing a vibrant backdrop for the complex's 120 stores and services.

New iconic national retail brands, restaurants and many sought after uses will come together to solidify FCP as "the" retail destination in Toronto's Financial District offering unparalleled selection and convenience.

FCP's Market Place will be completely transformed with Longo's as the market's newest food anchor. Combined with other operators, the Market Place will provide the utmost in culinary choice to tempt every palate.
