Home Renovation Tax Credit

Liesa was great. Very helpful and did not try to hard sell anything. I was very lucky to get her.

On another note I am curious if anyone else knows anything about the Federal governments home renovation tax credit. You can get back up to 1,350 dollars in tax credits by spending over 10,000 dollars with purchases made before Feb. 1st, 2010. My real estate agent seems to think that our upgrades at X-Condo would be eligible except for the fact that I will not technically be the owner of my condo during that time. My unit probably won't close until Summer/early Fall 2010. I guess I'll have to ask a tax specialist about this. Any ideas?

Hi, did anyone get the "window coverings". Is it a good price? I did not research this item. Any feedback?
 
Elevator Arrangement

Hi, is there anyone know what would be the elevator arrangement? I am confused since there are many different saying:

1.) All 4 elevators go to all floor
2.) All 4 elevators go to low floors, and only 2 elevators go to the top
3.) 2 elevators go to the low floors exclusively, and 2 elevators go to the top exclusively

Anyone can confirm which arrangement would be? Thanks for answering my question.

I'm on the 36th floor of X and got a notice for February 2011...

Do these dates seem reasonable to everyone? From where the building is now, it doesn't seem like it would take over a year to get it ready does it?

WTF ???
how is that even possible to be sooo far away when the building seems so far into completion.

maybe GGH will be taking alot of care and attention to details on the interior construction/finishes for X that has not been seen in TO condos, and we have all been conditioned to accept the poor quality crap that has been doled out so far.

GGH does have a reputation to uphold with its past and future (NumberOneBloor) projects.
 
judging by these notices, I'm guessing my move in date would be sometime in september 2010 which is fantastic for my personal situation.

I am surprised however that'll it take that long to get everything done. I'm would venture to guess that GGH is setting realistic time lines instead of overpromising and under delivering on the dates. I don't expect our move in dates will change much from these intial notices.
 
So if occupancy for the 4th floor is July2010, and Feb2011 is for the mid-30's, Im guessing everyone should be moved in by April?

So it looks like the building will probably get registered around June-August 2011?
