Still some industrial remnants in New Toronto, which was an industrial and railway town later swallowed by Etobicoke and Toronto.

Co-op complex replaced the Goodyear Plant.

The new City-MLSE Public-Pirate Partnership rec centre/Leafs training centre U/C.

Current Leafs training centre, Lakeshore Lions Arena.

Humber College - South. Former mental hospital. I think this is very lovely re-use.

Remnant of the munitions plant that was once in Lakeview.

Welcome to Mississauga - cyclists dismount. Pffft.

Lake81.jpg

Ruins of Lakeview. Looks like rubble has yet to be taken away.

Lake82.jpg

Lake Promenade Park looks quite nice - seems that there was a lot of activity, even swimming.

Lake85.jpg

This was a neat view.

Adamson Estate. Never realized this existed. It could have more potential - even Mississauga's own Guild Inn (when Guild Inn was still open).

New Park - nice multi-use addition, like a community picnic area with barbecues, a skateboard park, playground, gardens and fishing areas.

wow you did venture far!

great photos. btw, did u bike the whole stretch?

Only as far as Port Credit and took the GO Train back. All the detours I took added extra km to the trip!

I'm thinking on a day off go as far as I can on the Waterfront Trail - I can head back by GO Train as far as Burlington on a weekday.

West to Port Credit...

ST: Good photo tour of the New Toronto to Port Credit Area! One of my earliest - and favorite views of Downtown Toronto is the view from in and around Humber Bay. Lookin' good! LI MIKE
